Cooperative Education Program

John Hancock’s participation in the Co-op program provides students with a unique opportunity to experience working in a field directly related to their majors. This opportunity enables students to gain real life experience at the same time while earning their degree.
John Hancock has participated in the Co-op program and has maintained meaningful relationships with several Boston area schools for well over 30 years. We are committed to continuing these relationships as well as developing and maintaining new ones.

These partnerships have provided the students with opportunities to gain outstanding business experience; they are able to work with dedicated managers committed to enriching the students’ work experience. In return, managers gain the enthusiasm and energy of working with a talented group of young professionals eager to contribute their ideas and hard work.

Because the program is flexible, managers are able to hire just the right number of students to meet the needs and demands of their business unit with year-round coverage of their department. John Hancock’s goal in participating in this program is to expand upon their pool of potential candidates. New college graduates with business experience are in high demand in many of our business lines.
